Exceeded my expectations By Poppales Instead of a rather tedious book about a particular submarine, which is what I expected (tedium is not a problem for me, when technical stuff is abundant), I discovered the author took a perspective from the folks affected by the use of the submarines. The technical stuff was still there, but learning from how folks were affected by use of the U-93 was the unexpected story.Thank you for that!

By Eric Schoenfeld I was just looking for quick read when I found this free book on the Amazon Kindle site. It was like finding a box of letters from your great grandparents. You never know at anytime how your actions in life will affect history! I thought this was submarine novel and although not, the impact made on U93, which further impacted the war, was phenominal. This would be a great movie if Hollywood were so inclined. This book is historical suspense. I couldn't put the book down........

Good read for that purpose. It gives you a different slant on the underwater service as it was not as glamorous as the movies made it.
