Organized accountant Zoey Allen likes her life neat and tidy. But it goes from managed to messy when a dead body ends up in her apartment on an ordinary Tuesday night. After uncovering a money-laundering scheme in a routine audit at her company, Zoey finds herself the target in a murderous plot that doesn’t quite add up. Good thing she has Mac—a handsome police officer—and the Page Turners book club to help her solve the case. Officer ‘Mac’ McCarthy came back to Pleasant Valley to get away from murder and corruption. The last thing he needs is to be tied up in a case of attempted murder with the beautiful blonde bookkeeper that he can’t get out of his mind. She’s looking for him to protect her, and that’s the one thing he doesn’t think he can do. Mac and Zoey find themselves in a dangerous adventure full of lies, betrayal, and murder that takes them from the underbelly of the legalized marijuana business to a secluded cabin in the mountains. As she finds herself falling in love, is she really falling into a trap? Is Mac the man she thinks he is? Zoey must learn to let go of her ordered life and risk it all because murder can be a crime of passion, and falling in love is about to get messy. The Page Turners prevail in this newest mystery with their amateur sleuthing and undercover missions and…as always…delicious desserts. Women of all ages will enjoy this tale of humorous, women's fiction, mixed with cozy mystery and romantic comedy in this small town love story.

I love all of Jennie's books, but I think this was my favorite yet! It had all of my favorite characters from previous books in the series, so it was like visiting old friends. It was full of surprises, and just when I thought I knew what was coming, the plot thickened. It contained all the humor that I love about Jennie's books and had me laughing out loud. In this way, Jennie's books remind me of Janet' Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. I'd be lying in bed reading on my Kindle, laughing out loud, and just like when I read Evanovich, my husband would call me out on the laughter. He thought I was reading Plum again!! I can't wait for the next Page Turner's book, or for that matter, anything that Jennie chooses to write!! She is just that good!!

I've read all the Page Turners books and have been waiting for Mac to get to be someone’s hero. I loved his relationship with Zoey and the way he interacts with Edna. He is hot, badass, and sweet at different times in the book. And Zoey was a great addition to the Page Turners book club. Light, fun, easy read that had me smiling as I turned pages to see what happened next.

By The Romance Reviews Reviewed by Shree Jananifor TheRomanceReviews.comTANGLED UP IN TUESDAY is the fourth book in the series by author Jennie Marts. Being the fourth in the series, I was apprehensive about the characterization and as to how I would actually relate to the characters. Yet I went ahead and picked up this book as the blurb was nothing short of inviting.Zoey Allen, the demure accountant, finds herself amidst a mess when a dead body ends up in her apartment after she flees from there on the warning of her colleague. She ends up escaping to her grandparents' house in Pleasant valley where she enlists the help of the insanely good look officer, ‘Mac' McCarthy. Mac doesn't like the prospect of having to be involved in something as violent as this for he had become weary of corruption and murder. His aversion stemmed from his past, which potentially might ruin his present and future...Old wine in a new bottle is what I would describe this book and story line. The concept of dirty cop and trust issues has been around forever. To adapt an age old formula yet keep the reader engaged and engrossed is no easy job. The writer seems to be an expert in that. She captivated me right from the start. The book literally began on a high note and ended on an equally high note. Not once did I feel as though I was reading a book from the middle of a series. All characters had enough introductions to make sense. Of course, certain characters like that of Maggie--Zoey's lawyer--lacked that depth in characterization. However, as these characters are a part of the previous books, the writer must have elaborated more in the previous books. The writing was way too good and humorous. I particularly loved Zoey's granny's sense of humor! My only grouse with the story as such is that the police officers were a bit unrealistic. Especially towards the end, it was like the entire force just consisted of Mac.The book cover deserves a special mention as it looked totally pretty and very much in-sync with the story. The title, I felt, could have been better thought out.I'd recommend this book to people looking for a book with pretty much everything in it – romance, humor, suspense!Disclaimer: A copy of this book is received from the publisher/author in exchange for an honest review.
