I'm not in the market for negotiating my salary so it was easy for me to read and think about how realistic the steps here were.The book advocates taking a long term approach so don't think you'll read this and get your salary increase tomorrow :)

A compatible salary is my right By Allen Money is the biggest motivation if you are working for someone else, other than the supplementary factor such as work environment, chances to grow, training etc. 2008 has been a hard hit and average salaries have declined. This gave companies a reason to persuade the job seeker to accept lower salaries than before. As the author says, that now there is no term as job security.It is very important to know how to negotiate your salary, so that you get paid enough against your work. One sad factor is the money saved is not for the company, it is shown by the so called recruiting managers as their savings to the company.This book has listed some of the concrete methods and preparatory steps which would help you to negotiate a better salary. The book has listed must know factors, salary break up in numbers, what to expect as numbers and how to put it forward as a requisition. Excellent tips!
