By Nike Seems these days the word "paleo" and it's many myth-busting catch phrases are the bandwagon just anyone and everyone is jumping on these days for a fast buck. What a crock. This isn't The Bulletproof Diet. It's a knock off of the true and original book of the same name but by the incredibly smart and honest author, David Asprey of bulletproofexec.com. Asprey's book is brilliant as are all of his offerings which are hard one, personal discoveries that took years of trial and error, hundreds of experts help and a techno-genius' lens to solve much of the nutrition conundrum.This book is a shameless aping of his concept and book jacket design. Both the author and publisher of this book - who the heck is "Great Read Publishing" anyway? a self-publishing scam? Both the title and orange knock-off cover should be cause for copyright infringement. An awful lot of 5 star reviews seem suspiciously phony as well. For shame!

A frozen pirate and what happens to him, survival trapped in the ice, treasure, that makes a good story. Admittedly, the dialogue is a bit dated at the end, but that's forgivable and there clearly is no malice. The protagonist is an interesting narrator - I disagree with him at times, but that's fine also.Well worth picking up a free copy.

Vooren Karl May is a German author, but he writes about the life of the Native Americans at the time of immigration of the European settlers. The main characters are some of these settlers and some of the Natives, who form bonds of friendship and also relationships of hate and rivalry. The stories are about two different cultures discovering each other and clashing. They are about some individuals who make friends and try to coexist. They tell about the others who try to destroy and control, too. We all know who won.I devoured these books when I was a kid. They made me dream and imagine that I was one of them, and I usually pictured myself on the Natives' side. I felt they were written from the heart.As for the "some violence", yes there are battles and there are deaths, and some scalping, too. These things did happen in real life.I got the whole series on Kindle to read them once more after so many years, and I am under the spell, again!You need to know German to read this edition!
