A wonderful story that helps us recognize those business and IT should work By Minneapolis Jon If you are in IT and your developing for users, you should read this.If you have a customer and you've never done this job, you should read this!If you think that the role of IT should be isolated from the business because they do different things, please read this!!The Newman adjustment does a wonderful job of telling us of the story of someone who's used to the standard IT process and gets their world turned upside down as he has to learn a much more effective way to work even though it turns the traditional business of IT work on its head. It presents a very real perspective of IT workers who've been through this transition and have come out better for it! A very enjoyable and grounding read!

Al writes about the shortfalls that many businesses face and some common sense ways to create a much more cohesive work environment where more gets accomplished while at the same time reducing frustration and improving employee morale. I found it a fun and enjoyable read (at least in the category of business books) and found a lot of interesting nuggets that I hope could be integrated into my workplace.
