Close Up Look of Roosevelt By painterdave Written by a close friend of President Roosevelt, this book gives you a look at the real man, the way he thought, the love of the outdoors, and the love of people who lived in the outdoors. If you appreciate the Wilderness in American, the Parks and mountains, then you will enjoy a book about the man who helped make them possible. Kindle has made many of these books about Roosevelt available and this is one of the best. See Yellowstone before it became what it is today, and enjoy it with the President.

Covers Theodore Roosevelt's big camping trip out west and the semi-adventure that was achieved. The curious thing is that he walked around with Secret Service personnel or military personnel for the majority of the trip. It's interesting to pick up this story and look at modern-day situations. Worth reading, and I'd suggest it for a 10th grade history class as a short read to understand the life and times of "Teddy".
