Apple said "think Different" and they have done pretty well lately. What this book shows you is that if you do not think different and do not come up with innovative ideas customers are going to leave for the companies that will. The digital age has brought a lot of advantages to business but if you do not use it correctly you will lose customers.The book opens explaining that technology is important but just having the latest technology is not enough. Innovative thinking and promoting an innovative atmosphere are important. Back to Apple they have released even recently ideas that have been done before and that other people are doing now. The technology is great, but it's not new. What is new is they way it is being marketed, the way it integrates with their other devices and the general usability to the end user.The book also explains the importance of having a diverse workplace along with an atmosphere that promotes creativity and innovation. If you have a group of employees that all look at the same issues the same way they will inevitably come up with the same solutions.
